The woods were a welcome relief- and the solitude of the abandoned mines. People fed pigeons not too far from where I was working at the time, for some Fortune 500 company that I’ve long consigned to the recesses of my mind. That’s what bubbles to mind when I think of the city. Tearing into a hotdog was some absurdist way of railing against the monkey suit. We met at a Renaissance Fair- I was a knight, and struggling to lift my visor. I think he thought it was some sort of bird- he’s quite the accomplished hunter. He’s some sort of mutt as far as cats go. I know an officer at the station: Cavello, and we go way back. He’s always had a soft spot for animals, so we bonded over taking on the project of caring for a new addition to our lives. I knitted him a Christmas sweater to match me and the kid. He absolutely loves it. He’s a German Shepard, and has the typical colouration of the breed. Vic’s a large black bird that Tony found in the back of her office one day, and just stuck with keeping him around. I keep one that she’s given to me on my desk in the study.

He loved his canned ice teas- he attributed that to a great grandfather who had a large stake with the Bouchard family.
